About Shakina

Shakina is a small, faith-centered community coming alongside courageous women and girls in Tijuana, Mexico — women who have been displaced by violence, affected by exploitation and trafficking, scarred by hardship, and pushed down by poverty. In Tijuana’s refugee camps, in Zona Norte, and in hidden places where hope is being restored, women gather around tables of friendship, prayer, creativity, and purpose. As their children are cared for, welcomed, and loved, these women are given space to breathe, learn, create, and begin again.

Each woman, no matter her story, has a place at the table.

Through jewelry-making, sewing, English classes, mama mentoring, vocational training, practical support, and meaningful work opportunities, Shakina helps women develop skills, earn income, and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Our jewelry is made with fine 14k gold, real gemstones, and pearls — carefully created by hands that have seen hardship, carried sorrow, held children, prayed for safety, and are now creating beauty, provision, and hope.

We do this because we believe every woman is seen by God, worthy of love, and created with purpose. Each piece carries a redemptive story — reminding women and their children that they are seen, valued, and loved, .
